Can someone who has taken Clomid give me some information?
This is a repost…was hoping that I could get a good variety of answers. I am just on my first round of Clomid. I have no one to ask about these symptoms, so I am hoping someone on here can help. I tried to call my drs. office yesterday, but it was too late when I got off work. Let me say first…I used to be on the pill. While I was on the pill I suffered chronic yeast infections. I hadn’t had one (yeast inf.) in two years, since I have been off the pill…until now. Does the clomid do this? I took the shot (Ovidrel) to release my eggs on the 13th, and I had a blood test a week later which determined I had, indeed, ovulated. (It was too early to determine pregnancy. I have to go back for that test on the 28th.) My yeast infection started about the 23 or so. My breasts hurt so bad I can’t sleep, and I have cramps, though I am not due to start until about the 29th of this month! What is going on? Has anyone have any experiences like this? Any advice would be most appreciated! Thanks!
I’ve taken clomid for 3 pregnancies, never had a yeast infection. Sore/tender breasts and cramping can be side effects of the clomid, and also pregnancy, it is hard to discern, usually they can do a blood test when you are on fertility meds and see if you are pregnant. I always cramp a lot when I am pregnant, dr. says it is body preparing to release egg early on, then it is your hips making room for the baby to grow. I would see if an over the counter early test will tell you anything, they are only about 50% reliable early but it may show up, otherwise get your dr. to do a blood draw Monday.
