Why do most females get a yeast infection before or after their period?
Does getting your period help it go away?
Ah, the question that has been dogging me for years. It has to do with your hormones (thats what my GP, Gyno, Dietician and Natropath have told me). If you’re on the Pill and you have been for years, it can be because of the artificial hormones. It doesn’t matter what you do, it will always come back, the week before your period.
My Gyno told me that if you have recurrent thrush, do not use tampons as the discharge will help rid you of the candida infection. For me personally, it helped not using tampons. I’ve tried the candida diet and it didn’t work.
Also, I stopped the Pill about 2 months ago because I couldn’t stand having another infection. I haven’t had a recurrence yet (knock on wood).
