Symptom Of Yeast Infection Woman

symptom of yeast infection woman
Possible infection (women answer, please)?

Alrighty, so this is rather embarrassing, but I’d much rather turn to total stranger than ask my mother this, so… (Not that I’m not close with her! It’s just, we’re not THAT close.)

Okay, so I have a slight rash near my vagina. Ooh, yeah, I said it… the v word. :)
Anyway, it’s a small rash, not very red, but itchy and bothersome when I sit. It’s been this way for about a day and a half? Possibly two?
STD’s an out considering I’ve never even gone below the shoulders with a guy (I’m fourteen!), and I’m not sure if the symptoms fall under the categories that lead to a yeast infection. No smell, no unusual discharge…
So ladies, (or guys if, of course, if you’re gonna be mature about it!) have you ever experienced this? Is there anything I should do?

Yikes, typing that was incredibly awkward, but I definitely appreciate you taking the time to answer them! Thanks again! :)
Love, Hannah

The skin could be irritated due to moisture or, if you recently switched laundry detergent, soaps, or anything like that, it could be causing the rash. Try wearing all cotton underwear and using unscented soap/detergents. What you might want to do also is get some cortisone cream for sensitive skin and see if that helps relieve it.
