yeast infection after hysterectomy please need info?
i had a hysterectomy 2 weaks ago well last weak i got a yeast infection caused by antibiotics the doc put me on,she gave me 1 pill to take that last for 7 days it’s been about 4-5 now and i still have the infection but the pain,burning and itching is mild now should i wait the whole 7 days to see if it goes away or try a cream or something now? like i said i had and abdominal hysterectomy 2 weaks ago(6/09/2009) i had my uterus and cervix’s removed plus my bladder was injured in the process it was cut open so they sewed it up and just got taken off the the urine catheter today on (06/23/2009) i need help cuz i wanna get rid of this infection i’ve never had a yeast infection until now i am 36 yrs old.please help
You might have to go through a couple of doses of the meds. Also, eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice.
