Male 52 Yrs. old with Pain in Back and right shoulder and arm.?
Male 52 Yrs. old with pain in lower back and right shoulder and arm. Have had pain for 1 month and am taking lots of Tylenol. Even high doses of Sodium Naproxen that the Doctor prescribed would not kill the pain. The Tylenol works for a short time than wears off, but seems to work better than the Sodium Naproxen. Man was in hospital for emergency rectal abcess, and had to have two incisions made on rectum to drain the infection. Man received an antibiotic called Keflex, and 2 bags of very strong Antibiotic diluted in IV. Now man is bleeding from rectum and has a yeast infection on the scrotum. Man has no Health Insurance and does not know what to do. Man has become extremely depressed. Please Help him!!!
The fact that the man is bleeding from the rectum is serious. How much blood is there? The other problems could be cared for at home. Example – eat yogurt for the yeast infection. You could even apply it to the area and leave on for 30 minutes several times a day. If the man is able to take Advil, he could try this for the back, shoulder and arm – Advil is made for such pains (use the Advil liqui-gels) they work faster. Naproxen is made for those pains, but tends not to work as well.
Man does need to go to ER for the rectal bleeding, as someone said above – they cannot turn man away. Then man can file for financial help with the hospital. Tell the hospital the man has no insurance, and they should be able to help with the paperwork. Then the man will only have to pay little or nothing for the ER visit.
